Jageshwar Temple, Almora (Uttarakhand)
Jageshwar Temples are a group of over 100 Hindu temples dated between 7th and 12th century near Almora, Uttarakhand. The area contains a cluster of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and other deities.
The ancient temples at Jageshwar takes you back in time to explore the area. The Jageshwar temple site attracts a few hundred visitors and pilgrims everyday and the site remains to be a part of sacred Hindu geography, particularly for the central Himalayan region. The temple is also the starting point for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatras and people generally combine their trips to Jageshwar with Lake Mansarovar or Kedarnath.
